Clean, clever and instantly readable, it became another convention-era favorite among horror fans who appreciated their zombie apparel with a little evolutionary theory attached.
The design also glows in the dark, for no scientifically defensible reason beyond the fact that glow-in-the-dark shirts are cool.
Zombie Darwin even attracted a famous fan: comedy and counterculture legend Tommy Chong, of Cheech & Chong, was photographed wearing the original FearWerx shirt (and one day we'll find that damn photo...).

FROM THE FEARWERX ARCHIVES FearWerx began at New Jersey’s Monster-Mania convention, where its original horror designs developed a devoted following before horror apparel became a mainstream category. The FearWerx-sponsored 100 Years of Monster Movies campaign eventually inspired a three-day online horror marathon watched by approximately 30,000 unique viewers—and from that experiment, The Monster Channel was born. |
